Details about the technology preview and download link is available at

http://maps.live.com/Help/en-us/VE3DVIADownload.htm

Details and a download link for Virtual Earth is available at

http://maps.live.com/Help/en-us/View3DInstall.htm

A comprehensive set of tutorials are provided to help you get the most out of Virtual Earth – 3DVIA. To create a model you simply start with 2D shapes such as lines, rectangles and cirlces and pull these shapes into 3D boxes and cylinders, combining them to make the 3D models of houses or other buildings. Colours and textures can be applied to the models to achieve a more realistic finish.

When you’ve finished creating your model you can publish it to one of you Live Search Maps collections by simply using the publish button and signing in with your Windows Live ID.

<img src='http://www.kf12.com/blogs/uploads/tvnima.png' alt=''TVnima" />

TVnima is an online 3D application that allows you to create a news style TV programme that can incorporate your own photos, videos and soundtrack.

http://www.tvnima.com/

Here’s a sample on You Tube, although the only one I could find is in French,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZtlr–AdH4

The TVnima application has been made using the Virtools toolkit which is available as part of 3DVIA from Dassault Systèmes. Find out more about Virtools at
