Face Tracking

February 8th, 2010

faceAPI is a toolkit for developers that provides head-tracking for all three axes.

No special hardware is required – you simply use a standard webcam.

In addition you can also use the toolkit to detect changes in facial expressions

The software can automatically find the face in the current scene, and reacquire it if the subject leaves the frame.

It’s also able to work in pretty much any visible or IR light situation, so it’s not overly sensitive to changes in lighting.
