Intel and NVIDIA – the speculation continues

Shares of Nvidia Corp., the world’s third-largest maker of computer- graphics chips, surged 9.8 percent yesterday (4th Oct) on speculation the company may be bought by Intel.

The speculation first started in July, when Intel competitor Advanced Micro Devices Inc. agreed to buy Nvidia rival ATI Technologies Inc. for $5.4 billion. Tom Beermann, an Intel spokesman, said the company doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation.
